The Tree

In 2012, our founder, Jenny took a leap of faith and rented a room inside of a beauty salon in an attempt to start her own business. She was in her early 20's and she was not in the best financial situation. Let's be honest, she was broke, but she needed supplies, furniture, and decor, so she headed down to the good old neighborhood Goodwill. There, she spotted the tree. It was exactly what she was looking for and she thought to herself, "I would have never been able to afford this at full price!" She excitedly brought it back to her suite and placed it in the perfect spot. 

From there, she went on to open Serene Life Spa in 2015 and Serene Nail Bar in 2020. In 2022, the businesses were combined and became Serene Society. Both businesses has evolve and gone through changes throughout the years, but one thing remains the same, the tree. It is still sitting at the spa today and it is a reminder of where she came from, and how important it is to stay humble.
